SESSION

QUALIFICATIONS

CANSKATE 1

Must be 4 years old as of Dec. 31/10, OR
Not passed Stage 2 Badge

HELMETS ARE MANDATORY FOR CANSKATE 1 SKATERS
SKATER WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON THE ICE WITHOUT A HELMET
Please Note:
CanSkate1 skaters may only skate 1 day/week

CANSKATE 2

Must be 7 years old as of Dec. 31/09, OR
Passed Stage 2 Badge
HELMETS ARE NOT MANDATORY FOR CANSKATE 2 SKATERS
LEFT TO THE DISCRETION OF THE PARENTS
Please Note:
CanSkate2 skaters may skate 1 day OR 2 days/week

A

Passed Stage 4 Badge

Skater may skate OFF session (i.e. to exchange a day or to skate an extra day on a session other than what they are qualified for) under the following circumstances:
To skate OFF session on B to exchange days (i.e. 1 day A & 1 day B) or to skate an extra 3rd day skater must have passed Stage 7 and skate 2 days/week

B

Passed 1 Preliminary Dance

Skater may skate OFF session (i.e. to exchange a day or to skate an extra day on a session other than what they are qualified for) under the following circumstances:
To skate OFF session on C or on MORNING ICE (without grp lesson) to exchange days or to skate an extra day skater must skate a minimum of 2 days/week on B session
Please note:
C skaters may not skate UP on Tue, Sun or Mon stroking

C skaters wishing to take part in group lessons in the morning must register for Morning Ice separately.

C

Passed 1 of the following:
1) Preliminary Freeskate (Part 1 & 2), OR
2) Passed 1 of: 1 Jr. Br. Dance, Preliminary Freeskate Part 1 or 2, Preliminary Skills

Skater may skate OFF session (i.e. to exchange a day or to skate an extra day on a session other than what they are qualified for) under the following circumstances:
To skate OFF session on B, D or MORNING ICE (without grp lesson) to exchange days or to skate an extra 4th day skater must skate a minimum of 2 days/week on C session
Please note:
C skaters may not skate UP on Tue, Sun or Mon stroking
D skaters wishing to take part in group lessons in the morning must register for Morning Ice separately.

D

Passed 1 of the following:
1) Jr. Bronze Freeskate (Part 1 & 2), OR
2) Passed 2 of: 1 Sr. Br. Dances, Preliminary Freeskate, Preliminary Skills

Skater may skate OFF session (i.e. to exchange a day or to skate an extra day on a session other than what they are qualified for) under the following circumstances:
To skate OFF session on C, E or MORNING ICE (without grp lesson) to exchange days or to skate an extra 4th day skater must skate a minimum of 2 days/week on D session
Please note:
D skaters skating more than 4 days/week must skate the majority of their days on D
D skaters wishing to take part in group lessons in the morning must register for Morning Ice separately.

E

Passed 1 of the following:
1) Sr. Bronze Freeskate/Competitive Skater in 09/10 OR
2) Passed 2 of Jr. Bronze Freeskate, Jr. Silver Dances, Jr. Silver Skills

Skater may skate OFF session (i.e. to exchange a day or to skate an extra day on a session other than what they are qualified for) under the following circumstances:
To skate OFF session on D or MORNING ICE (withoug grp lesson) to exchange days or to skate an extra 4th day skater must skate a minimum of 2 days/week on E session
Please note:
E skaters are not permitted skate on C session
E skaters skating more than 4 days/week must skate the majority of their days on E

E skaters wishing to take part in group lessons in the morning must register for Morning Ice separately.

ADULT SESSION

An adult skater 21 years of age or older

MORNING ICE PROGRAM

 

1) An adult skater 21 years of age or older
2) Any current Skate Canada Member registered at another club
3) A registered East York Skating Club member who skates at least 1 day/week in his or her own session during the evening/afternoon hours.

Please Note:
Also open to B to E session skaters who skate 3 days or more/week and would like to add morning skate as an extra day or an exchanged day
Group lessons are geared towards skaters who actively competing.

Moving Up Sessions

The Club reserves the right to change &/or cancel sessions and alter qualifications based on registration numbers to benefit the Club and maintain the safety of its skaters.
