New for the 2011/2012 Season:
Welcome back to another great season. Some important news for the new season.
1) Skate Canada Membership & Liability Insurance Fee (formerly known just as Skate Canada Fee) has been increased to $35 per skater. This is directly due to an increase by Skate Canada.
2) Session Fees have been raised slightly from last season to accommodate an increase in ice costs by the City of Toronto.
3) This season the cost of the CanSkate badges (Stage 1-7) have been included in the fees for the CanSkate1, CanSkate2 & A levels. The Primary badges will remain @ $3.00.
4) AS of July 1st all skaters who have not passed their Stage 5 badge CSA Approved helmets are now MANDATORY (regardless of age) in order to participate in the CanSkate1, CanSkate2 & A session programs.
5) This year Club Competition will be held in March in conjunction with Mini-Olympics. Most events that were in club competition will now be held with the Mini-Olympic competition.
6) There will be an information Night for new skaters which will be held in September (TBA). We will have members of our staff and board there to answer questions. We will also have the Figure Skating Boutique there to provide a seminar on equipment and proper fitting of skates.
