Volunteers:

Ice Show is an endeavour that requires the most volunteers as compared to any other event the club holds. A more detailed explanation regarding volunteer requirements will be available at registration. At the CanSkate & A Levels the most assistance is needed in either dressing rooms or costume cutting. An extra pair of hands is always appreciated.

ALL PARENTS WORKING ON ICE SHOW ARE VOLUNTEERS!

Registration:

In your Summer Mailing there will be an Ice Show Application that you may pre-register with your Winter Application. There will be 6 official registration days in November when volunteers will be set-up in the arena lobby to take fees and measurements. After these days registration continues in the club office during office hours.

Numbers:

The session you skate on will determine casting and how many numbers a skater may sign up for. See application form.

Casting:

is based primarily on the results of the annual club competition, with final decision made by the Artistic Directors. Casting is posted after club competition has been completed (usually during the first week of January).

Registration Fees:

will be announced at the start of registration. The fee goes towards the cost of the costume kit (which includes materials, trimmings and instructions to make the costume).

Costumes:

The making of the costumes is be the responsibility of the parent. The organization that is required to create and distribute the costume kits requires many volunteers working many hours over several months. When official registration begins you will be given a detailed outline regarding the Costumes and the volunteers needed for the various jobs involved in the creation of the costumes

Costume Cutting & Pick-Up Days:

In January a schedule will be posted for costume cutting & pick-up days for each number. All fees must be paid to pick up costumes.

Picture Day:

In April there will be a picture day where all numbers and soloists will be photographed for the Ice Show Program. This takes place in the Arena Lobby.

Ticket Sales:

will occur in March. The tickets are sold on first come first serve basis. Details regarding fees ant the policies and procedures for ticket sales will be published in January.

Rehearsals:

begin in April and run for 3 weeks until Show Nights. Rehearsal and Picture Day Schedule will be published in early March. There will be 3 on-ice practices, 1 Run-Through practice and 1 Dress Rehearsal. If skaters miss more than 1 on-ice practice they may forfeit their position in the show. Run-Throughs and Dress Rehearsals should not be missed.

SKATERS ARE ONLY PERMITTED TO MISS 1 ON-ICE PRACTICE
