Rising Stars Program

The Rising Stars Program is an invitation-only program designed for skaters aged 4–9 who are working on Badges Stage 3–6 (skaters must complete Stage 2 to qualify). These skaters have been recognized by our coaching staff for their natural talent, determination, and potential to excel in the sport.

Rising Stars runs alongside our Fundamentals programs, providing young athletes with a unique opportunity to work toward their Canskate badges while also progressing through STAR 1 figure skating tests within the same season. STAR 1 is Skate Canada’s first level of competitive figure skating and is ideal for skaters who are ready to advance and begin developing their competitive skills.

Sessions are held once per week on Thursday evenings from 5:20 to 6:05 pm. All participants must also be enrolled in Fundamentals alongside this program.

Our exceptional coaching team, with experience ranging from provincial to national levels, guides skaters through jumps, spins, stroking, and edges in a fun, engaging, and challenging environment. The program focuses on building strong skating foundations, confidence, and a love for figure skating that can grow into future competitive opportunities.

How to Join:
There are two ways to become a part of Rising Stars:

1. Your Canskate coach may identify you during your regular session and invite you to join.

2. Attend our seasonal tryout or audition. (2025/2026 Season tryouts have passed)
